we are very lucky indeed to be talking in these terms. klopp, pep and now carlo. pellers even. all top top managers, so we can't really go wrong. think keeping pellers though would be a mistake, we'd lose out on maybe all three of the others by next summer.

Its OK saying there are three available ( and I wanted Klopp ) but looking at it again the lad is volatile and likes to build his own team (have we the patience ? ) Carlo no improvement on MP IMO Pep a yes but should we wait and just get any dogs body in just for the sake of twelve months ? No IMO stick with what we have

The funniest thing I hear about this today was some presenter on TalkSport saying that they knew about it 6 weeks ago because "the daughter of a friend went to school with CA's son and they've kept in touch. CA's son has told my friends daughter that they will be living on Manchester next year"

He then went on to say he would have put a bet on it but didn't as it would be insider trading.

Totally agree, it is disrespectful and ironic they are falling hook line and sinker to the rag media who are driving this AGENDA.

Thanks!

One of my clients at work is a match-going Real Madrid fan and the general consensus is Ancelotti is gone in the summer due to being tactically inept. I know Real Madrid fans are demanding but since leaving Milan he does only seem to last a couple of years in each job. That worries me.

Could say the same for Maureen though about lasting only a few years in each job.

In Carlo's case it was first chelsea that let him go, which explains itself knowing the chavs and their managerial changes. But the PSG deal was only cut short because he wanted to move to Real.

Re: Reports that Ancelotti deal agreed (denied by City - MEN

Pellegrini’s 2 year record with City is in terms of results is uncannily similar to Ancelotti’s 2 year tenure at Chelsea. How anyone can look at Ancelotti's record in England and argue he is a big upgrade on MP doesn't make much sense for me. I'm happy with either.

Interestingly, probably the main reason Abramovich appointed him was that he he was a proven Champions League winner but Ancelotti didn't get past the quarter finals with Chelsea. In fact they regressed.

Ancelotti joined a Chelsea who the season before he joined:

- finished 7 points behind champions United in the league.
- won the FA CUP
- were knocked out of the Champions League in the semi-finals (Barcelona)

Pellegrini joined a City who the season before he joined:

-finished 11 points behind champions United in the league
-runners-up in the FA Cup
-were kncoked out of the Champions League in the Group Stage after failing to win a single game

Season 1

Chelsea won the League narrowly by 1 point and a record of W27 D5 L6 for 86 points. They scored a record 103 goals and conceded 32 for a record goal difference of 71.

City won the league narrowly by 2 points and an identical record of W27 D5 L6 for 86 points. We scored 102 goals, 1 goal short of Ancelotti’s record, and conceded 37 and the 2nd highest GD in PL history of 65.

Chelsea won 1 domestic cup – the FA Cup - and were knocked out of the other by a shit team
City won 1 domestic cup – the League Cup – and were knocked out of the other by a shit team

In the Champions League both City and Chelsea were kncocked out in the last 16 – Chelsea by Inter Milan and City by Barcelona.

Season 2

Chelsea finished runners-up in the league with a record of W21 D8 L9 for 71 points. Their was a huge fall off from the number of goals scored down from 103 to 69 but defensively very similar only conceeding 33.

City might finish runners up but with 2 games to go we already have 73 points. Similiarly to Chelsea the number of goals scored is well down – currently 102 to 77- but defensively held up from previous season with 36 conceded so far compared to 37 last year.

In Domestic Cups both City and Chelsea were knocked out in early rounds and ironically this included a home loss to a shit Newcastle in the League Cup!

In the Champions League Chelsea were knocked out by United in the quarters (having beaten the might of FC Copenhagen in the last 16) and City lost in the last 16 to Barcelona

Why? It's a stone cold fact.

Don't get me wrong. I like Carlo, both as a coach, and as a person. He oozes class and his teams play football in the right way. He has a fantastic record in knock out competitions.

However his league record for someone who has consistently managed the richest clubs with the most expensive squads and the highest wage bills in whatever league he happens to be managing in, is frankly rubbish. Expensive rubbish but rubbish nonetheless.

Appointing him to replace Pellegrini would be a sideways step I don't see our owners or executives making. Not when there's plenty of younger hungrier sideways steps out there in managerial terms.
