Respect to Brian Kidd

I find it difficult to understand how anyone can have any ill feeling towards Brian Kidd. I would love to see him stay with the club until he retires from football.

Never been a huge fan of Brian's (notably cos of his days as Fergie's #2) ... but just watched his post matched interview and he is genuinely emotional about City, the fans and the players. I thought he might cry at one point.

And watching the highlights, City looked fluid, balanced and dynamic. (i know highlights never tell the whole story and Readings marking was shocking at times) but thats the best i've seen the lads play. Fast, slick passing, superb movement, Silva looks world class without to worry about Nasri playing around him.

Think a lot of credit should go to Kiddo, I have seen him as the shadow in Mancini's Trio over the last 3 years, but have to hold my hands up, beg for forgiveness and show Brian some respect cos he obviously has a great connection with the players and I think that showed in the game last night.

Whoever comes in .... think the wisest move first is to keep Brian as part of the coaching staff. Wouldn't have said that a week ago or a year ago, but now, think it's sensible in a week of chaos.

Hats off to you Brian. Well done!

I agree .... but you should have come to the game with those who bothered to cheer on the team.

Whilst there is obviously going to be many Mancini chants on Sunday I think Kiddo deserves a huge ...
"One Brian Kidd.... There's only one Brian Kidd"

"Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle)...

If life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten
And that's another title to win.
When you're feeling in the dumps, don't be United chumps,
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ...

For life is quite absurd, and Webb's the final word,
You must always face the curtain with a win.
Forget about your sin - give the City fans a grin
Enjoy it - we are Man City anyhow.

So always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ...

Old Trafford's a piece of shit, when you look at it.
Life's a laugh and Phil Jones' a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show, keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is with you.

And always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ...

Brilliant ZSD. I assume the title of it is "Life of Brian"

He's not the messiah, he's a collyhurst boy.

How can anyone not love Kiddo?... He's Mr Manchester. Red or Blue he's always been a top guy. Colihurst Born and Bred... Of course he loves City. I never thought otherwise.

Played for us (briefly), fell out with Fergiscum, helped coach our youth and first team, and a great human being in general.

How can you argue with that?

Very good but that song will always remind me of the rags twatting us 5-0 in 94 , should give him a blast of this classic about his homestead that used to be sang by us and them if I recall years ago

When I was young and foolish, as foolish as can be,
I said farewell to the mother-in-law and off I went to sea.
We sailed with Captain Skipper aboard the Mary Anne
And we all set sail down Collyhurst Road in a Black Maria van.

CHORUS: Oh, Collyhurst Road, I am forsaken,
And it's not that my poor heart is aching.
It's the whisky and the rum that I've been taking
For that charming little girl down Collyhurst Road.

Oh, we got as far as The Vine and the rain turned into snow.
The snow got in the engine and the engine wouldn't go,
So we wrapped ourselves in mainsails and stayed there for a year,
And all we had to bloody-well drink was a barrel of Boddie's beer. REPEAT CHORUS

Well, the law chased after me and they put me in Number Three.
They said you are a Collyhurst boy and you'll never get away from me.
They said the next time you go sailing, it won't be the Mary Anne;
Be down Collyhurst Road to Collyhurst Nick in a Black Maria van. REPEAT CHORUS

And....done. New desktop for me that. Wife going to love it. :-)

edit: I should say I would like to see him stay exactly where he is, quite literally. It does me a power of good to see someone born and bred, front and centre, every game, when so many are from lands marked "Here be dragons".
