RESTAURANT SUGGESTIONS PLEASE IN MANCHESTER

I recently went to Ox off Deansgate near MOSI

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.theox.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.theox.co.uk/</a>

was not expecting anything more than pub grub but was VERY impressed with the food. Was as good as anything I have eaten in Manchester which lets face it is a culinary wilderness.

I am a season ticket holder and travel up from Kent. For the blackpool game, I am coming up with a major foodie who is a food critic for a posh magazine, so want to take him to a great restaurant in the centre of manchester.

I would welcome any suggestions.

Thanx

I wandered into there a few months back with the lass and the food, for the price is excellent.

Livebait is good, slap bang in the city centre and the foods tremendous - if you're into that type of thing. They occasionally have vouchers on their site for discount, we got one for 30% off.

Gaucho is top quality!! You select your own cuts of meat which adds to the experience, Also the Sweet Mandarin is good it was on Ramsays F Word won some award I think!
