I'm a Mourinho fan. My best case scenario is Mancini gets us Top 4 and the FA Cup and then gets offered the Italy job and we hire Mourinho. Not likely to happen that way, but a boy can dream. If you have any more snide insults, let's have them.

And that's actually not a dispute of facts, but an interpretation of them. JTU posted facts without interpretation and said that facts don't lie. Well sometimes they do depending on how you put them. These growing pains are something that happens. They aren't fun, but we have to expect them. We have to get through them.

Except we have lost more than we have drawn against them!

9 league defeats with still 3 games to go is not good when you look at the investment our squad has had.

Very true and it does let us refine our opinions when we have discussions like this.

To break things down;
- Chelsea we do well against
- We struggle to score against United (Conceding 3 goals in 3 games isn't so bad, scoring just the 1 is)
- Have no pace against Arsenal, they play a ridiculously high line that we used to exploit and nowadays can't
- Liverpool we have done well against generally, the semi final obviously had an effect on the 3-0
- Gomes had a stormer last season and they were more prepared at WHL this (Due to their season starting earlier, our new signings etc)
- Everton are ridiculously lucky; Neville hand balled it atleast 3 times at home and we should've killed them off in the away.

I think Spurs and Everton will come into line when we've played them more. Need to work out how to score against United (Bellamy?) and need to bring in some pace for Arsenal (Bellamy?).

It's hard to know what to make of it, our results against the top sides are certainly worse than those around us.

Man United 18 from 11 (1.63)
Arsenal 19 from 12 (1.58)
Everton 16 from 11 (1.45)
Chelsea 14 from 10 (1.40)
Liverpool 15 from 11 (1.36)
Spurs 11 from 10 (1.10)
Man City 9 from 11 (0.81)

On the plus side our record against the lower is good, and for me it's as important to be able to beat those we should beat.

Not really.

missing my point, what i was trying to say is that the reason our record is so bad is that we set out to draw with these teams(which as you pointed out hasn't worked) and maybe if we actually set out to win we'd have a better chance so theres not that much cause for concern
