Results comparison with last season....

Let's not forget that we had a 100% record after our first 5 league games last season. Then it all fell apart.

And imo, it started with the Champs Lg game v Juve, when we were tactically inept, useless in defence, & threw the game down the shitter whilst realising we weren't 'all that'.

A decent performance tonight is very important imo, to keep the psychology of winning going.

Bumping this one, after another 4 league games.
Joint top with 19 points, and we continue with some improvement on last season results-wise. Pity we couldn't quite do the business against Everton, but we are still a few points ahead on the comparable fixtures from last season:-

From last month we were 8 points better off than last season:-
Last season, beat Sunderland at home 2-0 = 0 points
Lost at home to West Ham 2-1 = + 3 points
Lost at Stoke 2-0 = + another 3 points
Drew at the swamp 0 - 0 = +2 points

Now into October and another 4 played:-
Last season, beat Bournemouth at home 5-1 = 0 points
Drew at Swansea 1-1 = +2 points
Lost at Spurs 4-1 = 0 points
Drew at home v Everton 0-0 = 0 points

So we've dropped a few points in the last 2 games, but we're no worse off compared to last season - having lost at Spurs and drawn at home to Everton again - and overall, from the same 8 fixtures, we're 10 points better off.
