Just been watching Wigan v Man u and Rooney will be banned retrospectively after a horrendous and blatant off the ball elbow, undoubtedly a straight red.

Clattenburg didn't see it, and it looks really bad, typical thick fat scouse ****, must get retrospective ban.

Clattenburg did see it.

Re: Retrospective 3 game ban for Rooney

Red Cafe's equivalent to this thread, seem to be agreed that he shouldn't have made the challenge, that it should have been a red and he could be more trouble than he's worth! Thought he was the best player in the world now he scored off his shin...... http://www.redcafe.net/f6/rooney-elbow-322216/

Some quotes:

"Rooney is a prize tit ans I really wished he'd fucked off."

"I'm starting to realise how difficult Fergie's job is. If he thunders into the changing room at HT and bollocks him, or subs him early in the 2nd half, the worry is he'll fall off the wagon and run off to a hotel somewhere Charlie Sheen style with a couple of whores and a £200 box of fags.
The thing is, when a player becomes more trouble to handle for Ferguson than they're worth, there tends to only be one outcome... "

"It'll be typical Fa bias if they pick this up and ban him."

There's also a few mentions of the Gerrard incident picked up in this thread.

Re: Retrospective 3 game ban for Rooney

As many have already said, the game we all love is dead!

Over 30 years i have loved watching my beloved club, yet it is now becoming shit.

Money, Sky, shit refs and a complete lack of real competition has ruined the game and it will only get worse imo.

Like many, i await my season ticket renewal price with trepidation and like many, will be faced with the very real possibility of not renewing next season, something that would have been unthinkable not too long ago.

Rooney banned.....don't be fucking daft or naive.

Utd and team England's glory boy and one of the reasons that millions around the globe tune into the PL every week to watch and for that reason alone, he is untouchable whilst players from other clubs would have the book thrown at them.

Fucking stinks, football fucking stinks!

I agree it's so frustrating when all season we see our players get punished for less than what Rooney does! Until Baconface retires or drops dead it won't change!

Flippin 'eck! Havin a bad day?

Maybe its just gettin older - you know, we mostly tend to think things were better in the era when we were growing up/teenagers. Its never as good as it used to be etc etc...
Whatever brilliant successes we have as a club in the next few years - which i'll enjoy - it'll never be as good as going on the kippax with me mates aged 14 and 15.

But to take one of your points head-on, I didnt renew last year, but still go this year - been to all the home europa and fa cup games and one or two prem games, and tbh, I actually enjoy it more.
(Oh, and some of the refereeing was pretty awful back then too!)

Judging by the responses on this thread, I don't think there'll be more than one.
