As many have already said, the game we all love is dead!

Over 30 years i have loved watching my beloved club, yet it is now becoming shit.

Money, Sky, shit refs and a complete lack of real competition has ruined the game and it will only get worse imo.

Like many, i await my season ticket renewal price with trepidation and like many, will be faced with the very real possibility of not renewing next season, something that would have been unthinkable not too long ago.

Rooney banned.....don't be fucking daft or naive.

Utd and team England's glory boy and one of the reasons that millions around the globe tune into the PL every week to watch and for that reason alone, he is untouchable whilst players from other clubs would have the book thrown at them.

I agree it's so frustrating when all season we see our players get punished for less than what Rooney does! Until Baconface retires or drops dead it won't change!

Thats just it mate. Ive never understood why everyone in the game is fearful of this haggard old pisspot. People shouldnt be waiting for him to retire, they should be standing up to the old fart "NOW".

Why does everyone else skirt around him.
Sorry there was one man, Benitez who did. And fair play to him for doing it. I mean what can bacon face do to you if you tell him to get fucked. Shout some slurred words at you that make no sence.

Maybe its just gettin older - you know, we mostly tend to think things were better in the era when we were growing up/teenagers. Its never as good as it used to be etc etc...
Whatever brilliant successes we have as a club in the next few years - which i'll enjoy - it'll never be as good as going on the kippax with me mates aged 14 and 15.

But to take one of your points head-on, I didnt renew last year, but still go this year - been to all the home europa and fa cup games and one or two prem games, and tbh, I actually enjoy it more.
(Oh, and some of the refereeing was pretty awful back then too!)

Maybe age is playing a trick but my sentiments remain the same mate, i am just not enjoying the game like i used too.

Football is a sterile experience today. Sit down, shut up and please spend as much as possible whilst doing so...

As a club immediately post the takeover, we as fans were constantly promised that as fans, we would be listened to and that we would never be forgotten etc yet the signs are there for all to see, prices and matchday experience is no longer geared towards the vast majority that kept the club afloat during the dark days, it is geared towards the new breed of fan, the family and the corporate. I understand the reasons why and as a family man myself, i have nothing against taking the family to the game but i have a problem when it becomes more of a day out experience rather than going to watch a game of football.

Many posters have alluded to the real fact that words are cheap and meaningless and that the club is busy trying to change the demographic of its fan base and sadly that means that many like myself will be either forced or will choose to no longer renew and will pick and choose games whilst the new breed, families on a day out and corporate fan will happily take the seats and the club will happily watch them spend the kind of money that i ma either unable or unwilling to spend.

I don't blame City, i fucking love our club and always will do but i blame the PL, i blame Sky, i blame the obsession that they have created with all things, rags, Arse, Chelsea and scouse and i fucking detest the way that our so called best refs in the world have bought into that message hook, line and sinker!

Benitez got laughed at the press get banned from OT! If u step out of line at OT he just keeps banning u! If your a reporter your boss won't be happy! So they bend over! Last 2 years or so the refs av been bending over backwards for the scum! Is it a coincidence that Baconface has been going to all the refs meetings the last 2 or 3 seasons! He's getting to pally and refs are in oar of him

Who says you have to state that you are City fans? And who says there won't be more than one? Personally I do not want the rags to get the 'record 19' and I think that any other team than the rags would be better winning the title. As for bacon face retiring, do me a favour, he will carry on until he is either sacked or falls down dead!! And boy will there be national mourning on that day from their deluded fans.

Not that I am a bitter blue of course, just a realistic blue who doesn't want that lot to win anything any more.
