This just shows how powerfull the Bully is in football, his power built on years/decades of getting away with murder and everyone now too afraid to upset him.

The fact that the FA and Clattenburg are happier to receive condemnation by all the media + all honest football fans rather than 1 individual says it all about them and they need to step down immediatly

Someone should start an online petition to see how many signatures we get in favour of Rooney being banned, provide evidence to why he should be banned and post it on all the major football forums, then send the FA the signatures :)

I really try not to get too wound up by football generally, but this has really, really pissed me off.

How the fuck can Clattenburg say that a) he saw the elbow off the ball, and b) dealt with it appropriately???

Can't say I'm feeling angry about this decision, because its exactly what I expected, which makes it worse. It makes me sad and sickened that another little piece of our beautiful game has died as a result. And its one of a number of similar incidents this season. If the trend of favouritism towards the elite generally, and specifically Taggart and the rags, isn't reversed, the game will die altogether. They've had some outstanding teams in the past, but now they're getting by more than ever on poor decisions from incompetent / biased / corrupt offcials (there are too many incidents for it to be pure coincidence) and anything they win this season will be badly tainted in my view. The FA needs to grow some balls and I hope Bernstein is the man to sort it out.
