Why can only efl clubs trial this 1000 fans thing, why not prem league clubs?

I think - and I stand to be corrected on this - that the PL pushed back on the government regarding the limit of 1,000 spectators as this would be a loss-making exercise, wouldn't be a true test of what crowd size can be safely handled, and therefore pointless.

I'm sure the PL themselves sent a letter to the government about this and scrapped test events with 1k fans, requesting they were allowed to do test events with much larger numbers as they felt they were able to do this safely.

My guess would be for teams in the lower leagues, match-day revenue is a much bigger part of a clubs earnings, 1,000 supporters at most Premier League ground wouldn't even cover the cost of opening it

There will be no fans in any ground this side of Christmas and certainly not until such a time a vaccine is out, working and given to the majority.

Agree and it wouldn’t surprise me if we are not back at all this season.
