yep i hate technology-but my email came about 30 mins after purchase, quickly followed by the mobile instructions..

I have apple pay-never used it but have managed to get the ticket onto apple pay by following the instructions (open email on mobile etc). You tube is a great resource for simple guides.

New world order I'm afraid.

It's terrifying to be honest. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but this forcing everyone to comply with apps, tracking, no cash, no tickets just stuff stored on a phone is awful. What happens if your phone is lost or stolen? Runs out of power? Also given our stadium sits in some kind of internet black hole ( I can never get a signal inside) what happens then? We get some "Computer says no" zeolot refuses you entry?

you're supposed to be able to choose print at home for this match, for those with no smart phone (there are some!) - but maybe you have to contact them to ask for one, as i know from reading there was no option other than googlepay etc on checkout. Maybe city overide it if asked, emailing you a print at home instead?

I get that theyre using the Google/apple wallets and staggered arrival times due to Covid but I can't help thinking this will backfire.
Its clear from this thread In just the last hour since people have been able to buy tickets that a lot aren't knowledgeable about Google and apple pay wallets so can see huge bottlenecks outside the ground next week (the very thing the club want to avoid) due to people not having downloaded it correctly or having no idea how to activate it once they get there.
I don't see how a print at home ticket is anymore risky than these options and would make the entry process a lot smoother

My email just came through. Took about 45 mins.

When it comes through, you‘ll need to click on the apply to Google Pay tab. It’ll open a window in your browser. Confirm you want to do it and it appears in Google Pay/Apple Wallet.

When you’re at the turnstile, you’ll need to open the Google Pay app and hold your phone against the scanner.

You’ll be surprised how easy it is.

I'll take your word for it, I hope you're right. At least if it's showing on my phone and it doesn't scan I presume someone can buzz me in?

Do we have to download the NHS track and trace app too?

Only thing I'd say is we are all in the same boat right now-plenty of time to sort it once you have got your ticket. But oh for a ticket in your hand!
