Return of Supporters

A fantastic day, well done to everyone at City both on and off the pitch. Only downside being that my match going 15 year old son had to miss out and that hurt but that wasn't down to City.

How did the other 1,999 manage without a commentator and pundits? I always mute the sound when watching on telly but so many on here seem to need a collection of brain-dead tossers ti tell them what is happening.

I think the point that is being made is if he isn't a City fan how did he manage to obtain one and I am pretty sure we did sell out eventually.
I know for a fact we didn't quite sell out (a well placed source).

Not sure what the criteria dropped to but if it was just that you were on city's database, it wouldn't have been too difficult I imagine.

Or, as I've just posted in another thread:
"Well as two Spurs fans managed it (albeit being found out before they got into the ground) who is to say that they didn't get a City 'fan' to sell them a ticket? Please note that I use the word fan advisedly there!!"

Warm £6 cans of Budweiser and inconsistencies regarding travelling down on "Covid-secure" transport then jumping on a tube with everyone else aside, it sounds like it was a much better day than I feared it would be for those travelling down. I couldn't be doing with the hoop jumping and paying a fair old whack for the privilege but I'm glad it turned out to be far more enjoyable than expected. The atmosphere sounded good which was a surprise considering how few were in such a large stadium but I have a couple of theories on that. One of course is that after not attending games for so long the fans would be bang up for it. Secondly, it was probably easier to get chants to spread with fans of each side just in one small part of the stadium.

I must add that despite all that I felt gutted for @Tbilisi and his lad when reading about the testing cock-up on here on Sunday morning.

Definitely easier getting songs going than usual, it felt like you were in an away end more so than Wembley. Throats still fucked now.

Difficult to word Sunday as I don't want to come across like a right dick because I went and it was so much better than expected but all I will say is that as others have previously said it will be some moment when we're back inside the Etihad and it's full.

Thanks for all your replies guys, glad to hear so many of you had a positive experience, of course the result always helps!

Essentially then its just a case of showing your paper ticket, ID & negative COVID test at the COVID checkpoint and you're then up the stairs and straight into the turnstile - sounds nice and simple to me!

Just to let you know if your results don’t come back for your covid test and your in a bit of a panic don’t worry there is a test centre right next to Wembley and you get you results back in 20 mins it happened with the wife mine and the lads came back and hers didn’t come through but all sorted in the end

Thats ok unless they wont let you on the coach without a negative test like City.

Just had an email off City asking for my post game PCR test.My response below, not having a go at City more at the faceless w@nkers who organised it.

Hello,

I am currently in the process of obtaining a refund as test results did not come through so my son and I could not get on the coach.

They have still not come through as of today. Is it ok for me to take as long returning this as they do getting us our test results?

Do you have a contact of the people asking for theses results as that could be an interesting conversation. No contingency made for this happening on a weekend, laughable.

Sorry not having a go at you guys at all but as you appreciate I was a bit miffed as it was his birthday present.

How have you gone on with contact with City and any others over what happened to you and your lad. Have they given any positive response over the refunds ? Sorry if you have posted updates in other threads but not seen if you have. Whoever is running the ERP and managing the success of it, surely they should be checking the mechanism for testing and getting results is working properly.
