I have been on Eggheads and CJ is a top bloke even though he beat me on a tiebreaker.

Daphne' is the best one, how was she to meet mate?

Out of them all she was the most friendly and last to stay! They all left separately, CJ left a bit sharpish, but still had a chat. Daphne was very chatty. Cant recall his name but the ex tube driver, kept handing out picture postcards of himself from when he won Mastermind with his trophy and train uniform on!

They filmed 4 episodes each day for a month (Mon-Fri), then 2 months off. We filmed ours in the May and it was November when it was shown. We were not to tell anyone how we got on before (and I never did!)

During those two months, Daphne says they appear on other countries quiz shows!

They're not all in every episode these days.

I assume they get put up in a decent hotel in Glasgow and are on exes while they're up they're up there filming also.

I met CJ at the world snooker champs in Sheffield, he was really nice and had a chat to us for longer than he needed to. He said he was encouraged to act like a bit of a cock on Eggheads.

I'm pretty sure but not certain they get £300 per episode that they appear in.

They're not all in every episode these days.

I assume they get put up in a decent hotel in Glasgow and are on exes while they're up they're up there filming also.

I think BBC Scotland took over filming it about three years ago mate.

We had to individually answer questions (on paper) - 15 multiple choice and then 15 just give the answers.
Then we went head to head in a game of Eggheads with another team who were auditioning too. Fucked them off (won 4-1) and two weeks later were told we passed!)

For actual filming we got a hotel and 15 quid evening meal allowance!

Ha! The biggest disappointment was being told the prize up for grabs was 3K.
They told us before we went on that we wouldn't be told how much was on offer before filming unless it was under 5K and they couldn't tell us at that point because they were filming at that point. 25 mins later they came in and said it was 3K.
The other underwhelming thing is I presumed there was like a soundproof box we answered the questions in. Nothing of the sort! Right behind the Eggheads display boards are two school wooden benches with cushions on!
