rhyl vs city

it was a smoke bomb not a flare, as for the trouble, everyone was saying it was the blue alliance, the guys they had trouble with were blues from moston who were sound lads, one moston lad had purchased a rhyl pink away shirt for charity, hence why the alliance lot thought they were locals, and started trouble with them, also the pissed up blue that got thrown out, went up to a kid must of been 10yrs old wearing a Liverpool shirt, and called him a scouse b====rd, when he was pulled to one side in the toilet, by a blue being told what a knob he was his reply was a please don't hit me, latter on that night we bumped into the moston blues in a pub near the train station and one of the alliance lads was in there, they told him to get out of there sight before he got a slap, none of them hit him, he got to the door and mouthed off calling them in breads he still never cottoned on they were city, the police then came and moved him on, I am sure he was on his way to get the train, woops the moston lads were getting the next one too, a few of us had stayed behind in the club house after the match, and the locals were top notch and said city were welcome back anytime, as all clubs have a few idiots.

what im reading from that is that the BA were the ones acting like idiots then ??? if im wrong i apologise

Every time I went to Rhyl v Aberystwyth Town games there was always trouble with annoying kids chucking plastic bottles and stones. But, that said Rhyl FC's officials and the senior fans were friendly enough.

Oooo that's going to cause some traffic on the board...

Popcorn cat gif needed.

People should know by now they can't say anything bad about the ba(or current name) by now!

Find the evidence before pointing the finger is all I'd say!

I thought The BA had disbanded?
This is what I was told anyway.

they probably still all go as a group.
yes they do.....on a coach.....not on the train so this about there being trouble in a pub near a train station is nothing to do with them.

No disrespect but ............... can you not go to a pub near the train station if you travel by coach? I have no idea if anyone caused problems or not and whether it was the BA (whoever they are) or not so I have no opinion on that score. :-)

I'm too old and not cool enough to be in The BA Kev Hehe...

Seriously though this is the problem with any group. Some trouble occurs and even if just one current/former member of said group is in the vicinity of the trouble, the finger is immediately pointed and all blame is thrown at the group.

Some BA don't necessarily help themselves as they like a few beers and as they see it a good time but this will continually attract opposition resulting in conflict.

Nobody is being shot or killed, leave 'em to it... atleast somebody is singing

exactly this, i dont know who was there from the blue alliance (even though as a group, the blue alliance isn't actually a group anymore) but it's unfair to simply say it was them who caused the trouble. as usual its just trendy to blame it on the group and again it'll be felix and liam who get abuse and shit on here, even though they were nowhere near rhyl this weekend.

I was in the section where it was quite noisy. All good fun really, the racist abuse is the first ive heard of it didn't hear any at all? Flares and smokebombs its one of them you either like them or don't. I only heard about 1 munich song but was watching the match so may have missed it if there was a few.

Then at halftime the stewards advised us to move over to the terrace. This is when it turned from a good atmosphere to a sour one because as stated someone threw a bottle at a city fan who had been ejected for being too drunk. It then kicked off with one lad having a stool thrown over his head. The police/Stewards managed to get everything in order again until the end of the match when the United fans were outside waiting for the city fans. It then kicked off a bit up the road but the place was soon swarming with police.

Got to be honest the city fans were just defending themselves that's how I saw it, I don't understand why people who didn't even go feel the need to slag off their own fans when they don't know what actually went on.

Pleased we left after the mither had a feeling it would kick off later, didnt see anything in town centre later but plenty dibble about. What an inbred town Rhyl is though.

Quite a lot of what has been said is true, one or two young ones who had to much to drink one young lad sat outside The Milbank boasting about his junior ticket, but even about a hour before kick off it was obvious he had had enough, But he carried on drinking the same lad was sick as a dog in the ground before the end of the match, The steward's of Rhyl looked after him and got him a drink of water (he should of been on that earlier ) nearly every thing went well, as I live in Prestatyn and know quite a few of the Rhyl fans all the ones I spoke to said what a great day it had been, I hope we have as many City fans up for the Prestatyn game this Saturday. You always get some that spoil a good day out but on the whole they were well behaved, The fighting out side was 2-3 idiots giving it large and got what they deserved in my opinion.

They have. And none of the people who started the group were there at the weekend.

I'm not sure whether some of the younger lads cling to the name because it gives them some sort of identity, or whether people see young lads pissed and think "oh it must be them". Maybe it's somewhere down the middle.

I completely agree with the sentiment that some of our younger pissed up fans need to wind their necks in somewhat, as it's doing themselves no favours.
