Richard Dunne will not be forced out of City

I think he might want to stay. He could have a good chance of winning something with City before he retires. If he leaves for some other club he will achieve nothing.
Remember, player are joining city to be winners now!

Do you not have to play a minimum number of games in order to get the medal etc? That being the case if Dunney stays he will still not win anything with City as he won't be playing! Good servant and all that but we're moving on. So should he imo.

LOL!

I think its god that we aren't giving him away so to speak!

But, honestly he has been a fantastic servant for the club right through the years of our crapness.

sunddenly we are aiming for higher things and he isn't good enough, we still have to accept him and apprecitae what he has achieved at this great club!

4 player of they years running. Takes some doing lads.

Would rather Hughes say he was an important squad member to be honest. Even if he doesn't get many games next season he deserves a bit of respect rather than he can go if somebody comes in for him IMO

Everything about the article says he is going. Even the title.

"Dunne will not be forced out of City.....but boy will we accept bids"

"Dunnie will not be forced out............... but we've put a bit of grease round the doorframes just in case. "

Richard Dunne will not be forced out of City..................

As the Bee Gees and Steps said

TRAGEDY

''Speaking at a news conference in Abu Dhabi, home to the club's billionaire owner Shaikh Mansour, City manager Mark Hughes also confirmed Richard Dunne would be the club's captain this season''.

"We will not force Dunnie out of Manchester City...but is he doesn't fuck off soon he can rot in the stiffs".

Bye bye Dunnie. Thanks for everything. I hope you find a good club.

You will be welcomed back when you play at COMS.

Great servant, but you have to look at Dunne and ask if at 29 he'll be happy sitting on the bench?

He strikes me as a guy who wants to play every week, even when he's playing crap (which was too often last season sadly).

He still may play a big role next season, particularly if we don't manage to sign Terry/Lecott, plus with Vinny's injury (which is hopefully just short term but who knows) and Nedum's inevitable injury problems, we're going to need plenty of cover.
