Richard Dunne.

*is already on a yellow card for 5 cynical challenges in the game*
*supposed to be captain of the team chasing one more goal to send the tie into extra-time*
*gets done for pace by a slowish centre-forward*
*bungles into centre-forward deliberately*
*tells the ref to fuck off after having a red card brandished at him then complains bitterly to himself as he plods off the pitch*

or better yet...

*90 mins gone and time added on ticking away*
*both Man City and Everton resign to sharing the points*
*ball comes to Dunne who has acres of space*
*for no imaginable reason, Dunne (under no pressure) kicks the ball behind to give Everton a corner*
*0-0 turns into 0-1 as Everton scores from the corner*
*referee blows the final whistle...City players walk off stunned*

He has scroed own goals and he has not been up to his standerd but he has been better then Bridge and Tal Ben Hiem .
Give him another season and then get him on as a coach or something. cant say goodby so get him on as kit man or what ever just dont let him leave.

never thought he was a slow mover but a slow thinker ,defo ,He seems past his best now and i wont miss him tbh . Time to move on

he could well fall foul due to the natural progression of the squad as we head for bigger and better things

Maybe we should flirt him off and get that Fulham centre-back in before someone buys him!

I've got to be honest, I think his performances picked up after his Mrs had their baby. Maybe some outside issues at home affected his form.

Before you have a pop at me, who honestly at some time or other hasnt been affected at work by something at home?

Added to the fact he had to cover for the happless MR.....

Think he has a part to play but maybe not as big & certainly as skipper.

Still a leg-end for me & would figure in my all time City squad.......if nothing else for his performace in the 0-0 at the swamp a few years back
