Richard Edghill Autobiography 'Once A Blue Aways A Blue'

Loved Edgy always gave his best and a blue through and through. Got a lot of stick in his time but I guess he always got the upper hand especially when he slotted that pen away at Wembly.

I for one am looking forward to having a read of this, I was probably an 'Edghill-slater' in my younger days but am loving reading Uwe's book at the moment and have Andy Morrison's lined-up to go after that. Once that's done I'll been getting this one, he's a decent lad and a Blue so he'll get my support.

Just finished Andy Morrison's book. Cracking read. £1 on Kindle too!

Plenty of mistakes in all football books I have read, even ones that check their football stats tend to get the off the pitch stuff wrong.

Agree. I proof read Teenage Kicks 4 times and when reading it as a book found 30 odd typos

Few in Dennis Tueart's book too....apparently we were singing "Blue Moon" when he was playing!

Free from the library :-)

Tiny statistical errors don't spoil a book like this. Most of them have one or two.

I'm going to buy it tomorrow if I get 5 minutes

Yep I'll be all over this as well and I'm looking forward to reading it. Talking of mistakes anyone unfortunate to have the original copy of The Young Guvnors can tell you all about mistakes as it's literally unreadable due to a mess up with the printers overseas. I don't think a few wayward stats are going to match that.

I aways think of Edghill when some of our fans get comically sentimental about the putative recent decline in standards amongst our support. He was the outlet for much of the poisonous frustration amongst our support towards the end of the last century.

Hope he does as well as can be expected out if it.

Especially as for me it stemmed from Coventry at home and inho it was weavers fault for Bellamy goal not Richard's

I got berated for sticking up for Edgy that day and nobody wanted to blame Weaver after his heroics at Wembley but he was having a mare that day
