Richard Keys next?

Never really liked him, or Andy Grey for that matter, but this sacking/resignation is just another example of the paranoid, frightened society we've become.

A private conversation between two adults shouldn't be subject to this - the implication is that you can't even think something which is 'incorrect', never mind say it. Pathetic beyond belief.

hope the fcuk strachan,or cnutboy neville dont get brought on board as was mentioned yesterday on talksport i think as replacement for gray,as for the presenter some have already said james richardson...

Sky is a private company, not a democratic entity working for the people. I don't think this is about the public calling for their heads, and this "paranoid, frightened society" is just a figment of your paranoid, frightened imagination.

....but Sky felt 'compelled' to act, which is a function of the media frenzy which now ensues following any breach, no matter how minor, even in private, of an 'ism'. Try living in most of the rest of Europe, pretty much the whole southern hemisphere or anywhere in Asia and you'd see just how much we've become sensitive pricks and frightened to death of being branded as having anything other than views commensurate with those of the liberal left.

I've lived in the US, Asia and parts of Europe, and they are equally as sensitive to public figures making idiots of themselves. We are not so distinct from the rest of the world, that is quite an English notion in itself. Sky will gladly push the responsibility on to others for their nasty deeds, and it seems you've gone for it hook, line and sinker.... Apparently everyone but them are to blame.

More like views which are ''insensitive'' at best. Why utter them? You are entitled to think what you like, but to say them in a studio awash with microphones (even if they were off air at the time) was naive in the extreme. There'll always be some technician/ studio runner etc etc who will gladly sell the tape for a few quid. Why be so stupid as to put yourself in that position? Stupid.
