The "decision" or her performance during the match (good or bad) is irrelevant in this.

If she had had a 100% accurate game, they'd still call her useless because she is a woman. If Massey became the greatest referee in the world statistcally by FIFA, she's still just a woman and is useless.

That is the reason for the furore. Not that they were critical of a woman, they were critical because she IS a woman, doing a job most men have filled. Plus the fact that people disagree entirely with their view stating she did have a good game, certaintly no worse than any other assistant referee. But that doesnt matter, 'she's a woman, so that automatically makes her useless'.

If she was a poor assistant referee the focus should be on the fact that she is crap. NOT that the reason she IS crap, is because she's a woman. I realise i have mentioned this point four times now but it seems to be the stickler as none of the Gray defenders have managed to pick up on it yet, instead drumming up wild defences for their behaviour, which as has been proven, (the methods and motives irrelevant at this point) was not a solitary affair.

Are you trying to say that the Nation refers to women as 'it' - that's a pretty bold claim to make, and I'm not sure its particularly accurate either.

'it' being the video that was leaked that seen him off the burton one, someone had it in for him, shame for the girl but she's a munter anyway, just like gray acknowledged, shes had her 5 mins of fame. how the f.a put her in a premier league game then her next one was a league 2 baffles me it really does.

The 'it' I was referring to was the way Keys on three occasions in this recording refers to women as 'it'.

You suggested he was 'only speaking the mind of the nation', and I thought it was pretty alarming that you felt the nation routinely referred to women as 'it'.

For those banging on about 'Freedom of Speech', there is a proviso to such a luxury. It's called moral responsibility. These two showed none of it and it's clear the Sian Massey comments weren't an isolated incident.

You're right TFS the majority of women don't know anything about football. But then the majority of women aren't interested either. The reason Gray and Keys are so wrong is that Sian Massey, despite working through the refereeing system obviously knowing the rules of the game (probably better than the majority of blokes who go to games) is dismissed by Gray and Keys as useless because of her sex. It's fucking ridiculous to suggest a woman cannot know the off side rule. It's so ridiculous it's laughable.
Maybe, just maybe Sian Massey knows what a penalty looks like and would have awarded Blackpool one last night, despite being a woman. She certainly couldn't have got it more wrong than the male referee did last night.

The Charlotte Jackson video should have been enough to sack Keys.

He laughs along with Gray and his pathetic attempt to exert his power over Charlotte Jackson.

The Redknapp video is just cringingly embarrassing to watch, again ingratiating himself with his footie buddies.

I have seen females go through hell at work with guys like Gray, dressing it up as banter, all the time, knowing their have position and influence.

Then forced to go through the disciplinary tribunal to back up their claims.

Thankfully, they have been hung by the very medium that has made them both very rich.

It's shameful anyone on here, who can condone or try to justify what has taken place.

When you sign a contract of employment, it does not begin and end with just office hours.

Certainly within a company which is worth £15bn.
