All the reports ive seen have been good, most saying the outcome wouldnt have been much different.

All of them saying how comming to coms is seen as a very tough place to get a result.

Lots of paranoid blues about.

Where was that MCFC.com? The main media outlets Talksport and SSN are not reporting it like you say.

If they're your main media outlets then you really do need to get out more. I have not read one match report that states or implies that Villa would have beaten us even if they had their strongest XI playing. They just questioned why Houllier did it.

Don't think he did put out a weakened team. I'd guess they thought we'd have no width therefore benching Downing and Young to stifle our central midfield.

First of all I want to give Micah Richards credit as I have been one to question him but recently he has been on top form and is showing all the passion and commitment we need at the moment.

Secondly what is all this media nonsense about Aston Villa not playing their first team last night, they seem to have put a spin on it to imply that if they,d have had the likes of Downing and Young playing they'd have beaten us comfortably but they seem to have forgotten that we beat their so called first team 4-0 on December 28th, also we were missing far more influential players last night such as Kompany, De Jong, Johnson etc not to mention starting Tevez on the bench.

Am I being paranoid or is it Manchester City are banned from receiving any credit when they play well?

For the record to any Aston Villa fans on here I thought you were a poor side to be honest,

both your first team in December and last nights looked pretty average to me but you do have a couple of good youngsters ie Bannan but you are no longer a force and are in the Nottingham Forest and Leeds United category these days.

I thought me comparing them to Leeds and Forest would be obvious but I'll explain, Leeds and Forest are former successful big clubs who competed in Europe on a regular basis and as such their fans developed delusions of being 'untouchable' because of their history but I can see the same thing with Aston Villa fans and their constant looking back at days gone by. All I can see is a downward spiral for Villa and relegation battles to come.

I think Villa will finsih about 8th, they have played all the top sides twice and have most of their players back from injury... and if a poor season is 8th they are doing something right... well run club, with a good chairman doing things the 'right' way

With good young players coming through i fail to see how they will not be pushing for at least a Uefa place for the next 4 or 5 years...
