Richards, what has got into him?

Like I said in another thread I have a felling its going to be a long time before he gets another start baring injuries. With Zabs and Nedum fit he will be 3rd choice right back and 4th choice at centre half on current form. Needs a spell at Birmingham or similar to get his act together, not had a decent game for over a year. He has no postitional awareness, cant pass, cant head the ball, doesnt get forward enough and his tackling is poor. That about covers it. We should have taken the rumoured 24 million for him after he had that good season from Chelsea or even the rags. I would still be laughing now if we had.

I cant see anything that suggests his early form was any more than a fluke. Never going to be a top player IMO.

What has got into him is that he has achieved a great deal of success prior to reaching 21 and from there he has hit a stumbling block - which is not altogether unexpected given his progress, it happens to pretty much all players at some point in their career - which City fans can either get behind and support him through it or turn him into the next Richard Edghill.
