One of ?

Practically everyone was.

Nope, a vocal few on here did... but lets be honest; how many in the stadium or in Manchester, or around the world... what percentage actually even know of this place, let alone contribute.

Maybe somebody needs to remind him that hes on the pitch at times he looks like a lost sheep terrible

TAXI FOR RICHARDS!

no not really. i thought he could be lazy but knew that he had underlying talent. but apart from one season richards has been consistently shit. today was the last game when i went into it thinking "richards come on prove me wrong". now i am 100% sure he is wank

Sorry but most of you will have egg on your faces when you all call him great in a season or so. He's just the latest boo boy trend at COMS.
Good defender, looked good against A.Villa/Wigan to me.

i dont understand him attacking, he is crap at one twos, crap at crossing hes too fat to beat a defender yet he insists on attacking, losing the ball the being out of position and just stands looking lost....baffles me. he does it time and time again.
law of averages says hes gonna do a good tackle at some point, which he does do, every other game.

my point is a fair few people were 'i will drive him there myself' about ireland, yet we had all seen he had the talent.

this is the treatment richards seems to be recieving at the moment, yet we all know he has the talent, he is only young and going through a poor run of form, he doent need his own fans on his back he needs there support!!

just like ireland, i have every confidence he will fulfill the talent we all know he has got

Zab came out of position to lose a header and leave a man unmarked at wigan for the goal. Still morons blamed Richards.

I think from my point of view what is happening to Richards is:-

1/ Despite his constant denials Richards is too heavy & has bulked out to much, thus making him clumsy & flimsy on the ball. He needs to loose weight, get his body fat down & then he will be better on the ball & at positioning.

2/ He is too much up his own arse & thinks he is better than he actually is, he needs bringing down a peg & look at what Ireland did to get to the level he is now at.

I agree, i was just pointing out that this forum, as much as some people think it does, does not represent the common view of City fans... instead its a small demographic of match day fans.

Hopefully your right, even though I doubt he'll ever be a great full back as he's simply not a good enough footballer.

TAXI FOR RICHARDS!

You "thought" you were right after the 3/4 years since his ddebut, but this one game "confimred" it... Nope sorry, don't buy it.

You're fighting a losing battle mate.

We need a scapegoat as it scares people looking beyond their comfort zones and admitting things about 'favourite' players.

Micah has been poor but no poorer than a lot to be fair, he's an easy target.

Zabaleta, being Micah's only competition, is seen as the golden boy, imagine Micah got sent off for those 2 tackles at Wigan...

Depends what you mean by 'talent'. He's undeniably strong and quick but he has relied on that too much throughout his youth. Because he could bully players he has no idea about postitioning and reading the game. Now he is up against blokes as quick and as strong as him he hasn't got the edge over them. He won't play for England again and he won't be at City in a couple of seasons time.

I have defended Micah in the past but today he really let me down. He does not anticipate the play whatsoever, he is constantly on his heels and he just doesnt seem to have anything going on up in his head. Maybe its just because hes still only 21 but for now Zabaleta must play when fit.

Well I watched on Sky, looked solid. You must have had a poor view. Some of you lot need your heads testing.......we've lost 1 game all season and are still right in the mix.
I remember Goater and Ireland coming in for this kind of flak, both made many fans eat their hats.

1- his positioning is terrible
2- he is awfully lazy all the time, he just jogs back into position even if there are forwards and attackers bombing on all around him
3- he believed his hype too much

BUT he does put in a good recovery challenge and he has improved his running with the ball and his goal shouldn't have been dissalowed so i dont know i think he needs some proper coaching and a good old fashioned work ethic belting into him so get on it sparky

to the numpties that keep saying "bet you were one of the ones who slated ireland before last season" yes i did, because he was shite", then over the summer he put a lot of effort in became a lot fitter and played miles better. And you keep saying richards saved us from getting beat today, give it a break, his positioning is shambolic. It was his fault for 3 of the 4 united goals in the derby. Ok he saved one off the line today but he was very poor apart from that. lescott didnt play well either, thought bridge had a good game though

Ireland can't get a game these days.

Richards is fat? Biggest pile of shit I have ever heard.

What does 'loose weight' mean?
