He can't cross a ball, goes to pieces in the box and isn't intelligent enough to do the overlapping. But he's strong quick and can leap like a salmon. Should have be a centre half all day long.
Too clumsy and suffers from lapses in concentration to play centre back. In his best spell under Mancini he was played at RB.
I'd say his best spell was next to Dunne at centre half.
Kolorov was captain. Richards came on for him and took the armband.Hart of the matter said:Was given captains arm band in match last night even though Alex Kolorov was obvious choice. Suspect this means he is off and was a nice gesture by the club.
Unfortunately, in order to sell a player then a buyer has to be available, and as long as we rubbish players on here then we wisen up other clubs to their failings and the offers, or sensible ones, fail to arrive. When bidders are looking for players like Jovetic on loan, then I'm afraid that there will be a long wait for those players you have named, especially where hard cash is involved.baildon blue said:I will say this about City. They need to improve in the selling department .
I can see the likes of Richards , Sinclair Garcia and Rodwell still being with us at the end of August .
Come on City we need to sell these players now !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sagna & Zaba will be on the bench? What the f*ck have you been smoking? Sagna if fit will start the season to give Zab a rest ... Zab will be no.1 RB with Sagna as backup - Micah has shown no desire to sign a new contract at City & TBH he needs to do some work to get some of that bulk off - He can't stay fit and looks like he's lost a yard or two of pace (he's toooo heavy)...
Stick to FIFA my friend!!!!!

Also, micah isn't leaving because the club don't want him, Sagna was signed because micah wanted to go. Much rather keep micah myself, and the lack of respect you've shown for city's current longest serving player is appalling. He was instrumental in bringing home our first premier league trophy, maybe you haven't been a city fan long enough to remember that.

The latest comment is a bit silly. Most of us want Richards to do well at City. And we reckognize his part in winning the title 11-12. But maybe YOU haven't noticed our football has progressed, and at RB Zabaleta has progressed. Richard unfortunately hasn't either due to injury, no fully focused on being a profesional, whatever. But he has not progressed at all. The Bayern-awaymatch did it for me. He was awfull up until his injury and Zabaleta saved us that day. I fully understand the clubs descision to get Sagna on board. Maybe it's best for all parties if Richard started life elsewhere and get his carreer back on track. If he stays it won't happen. Just look at the latest line-up vs Milan: Clichy played RB ...

Who's the other RB's we brought on this trip? We have 3 LB's in Kola/Clichy and youngster Greg Leigh. I think putting Clichy at RB was to give Richards a break and come on later as he did.

Meaning one would start, the other on the bench; leaving no room for Micah at all.
Bravo.
Bravo? .... Is he a RB too? ... Or are just a smug c*nt of the type that likes to lurk on forums waiting for a chance to be a clever tw*t??
You told a fellow poster to "stick to FIFA" after failing to read his post properly and you're accusing me of being smug? Calm yourself down, kid.

Yes, fully fit he is a good player.bondsman said:I think im in a minority but I rate richards highly. Fully fit he pushes zab for me. I prefer him to sagna.
I'm sure that any well run club would do some proper research first, but that isn't really the issue. If negativity follows a player, it spreads to the stands and it could influence a Manager or owner whether to push ahead with a transfer. They don't set out to seek unpopularity any more than the rest of us do! There is a wealth of information available via the internet, and we would be naïve to think that supporters of other clubs don't read what we have to say about our departing players, and if we diss them, other clubs supporters will be less than impressed before such player has even kicked a ball in anger. I remember signings of ours in years gone by, players such as Martin O'Neill, Mark Ward and Adrian Heath as examples, and these were unpopular signings right from the off. If they had signed with acclaim, maybe their performances would have better than what they actually were.happy said:I'm no cynic said:and as long as we rubbish players on here then we wisen up other clubs to their failings and the offers, or sensible ones, fail to arrive.
So you think a prospective buyer might be about to make a bid and then think 'well the manager likes him, the scouts like him and he looks a great prospect, but we'd better just check Bluemoon to see if they concur'?
Have you ever been in a matchday thread? 10 minutes in there and you'd be convinced that we couldn't give most of the squad away let alone sell them.
In 2012 I would have agreed with you fully, in fact anyone who disagreed would have been lampooned for being an idiot. However it's 2 years on and along with his well documented injuries he's gone backwards while Zabaleta has improved. Maybe given a seasons full of games with no injuries he may get some of his talents back but he's 26 now, no longer a kid. And Sagnan is as good as Richards was 2 years ago, he's nowhere near him now.pantalon violet again said:bondsman said:I think im in a minority but I rate richards highly. Not in the minority at all
I have something called a memory and he was pivotal in the 2012 season
Great player ,I remember threads on here slagging off the England manager for not picking him
