Ricky Hatton RIP

And you seem to be going out of your way to make this thread about you. Give it a rest. None of us care about what suit Tyson Fury wore. It will be forgotten about tomorrow.
I’ve a feeling the poster thought everyone would jump onto his obvious link to the fact Fury is a United fan, and go in on him for wearing that suit and being a disrespectful United fan.

It’s failed. Spectacularly, because nobody cares about football today.

The awards ceremony? Hmm. I still don't think it was the time or the place to wear it. But I'm not going to derail the thread by arguing the toss about it. Like the suit, it's not the time, nor the place. Sleep well Ricky.
It's a sad state of affairs when blues are arguing about Tyson and if he was disrespectful or not, it's should be about celebrating a true warrior and legend and massive blues life

100% I can't believe it's even being mentioned. If one person would have found it hilarious it would have been Ricky. Hopefully the tit for tat petty squabbling on this subject is removed from the thread.

Who's arguing? I made it clear in my post that I wasn't going to argue all night about it. My final point was that, as you alluded to, it was a day to mourn and celebrate the life of a true legend of the sport. His day. Yet Fury turns up in that suit, covered in pictures of himself. And that's my last word on it.

An therein lies our problem as human beings. Not Tyson, but all those insulting him.

Ricky had mental health issues which, allegedly, resulted in his untimely demise.

Tyson has mental heath issues, which on a number of occasions have almost resulted in his timely demise.

He's either worn the suit as last bit of banter with his old friend, or to make a statement that he has been saved and is still with us.

Whatever the reason, we all know Tyson has struggled over the years and has made some bad decisions, like Ricky did, we should try and understand and support, not add to their struggles.

We've already lost one legend way too early, let's not lose another.
Think you meant untimely demise, in an otherwise excellent post.

Our Mancunian weather did its Mancunian thing for a Mancunian who typified our spirit, our humour and our generosity - a typically grey day for a man who was a riot of all of the colours of the rainbow.
Just seemed like even nature wanted to honour him today.
I spent the afternoon in the Beach Cabin bar in Tenerife 4/10/24 watching our beloved City win and he held the place in his thrall before, during and after the game.

He took the piss, took the piss take replies with a laugh and had a moment with everyone.

I have a picture with him from that day and it hurts to think that less than a year later he was gone.

R.I.P. our kid.
