It was a favourite suit of Ricky's ,so that why it was worn so I believeI think Ricky would have found that funny

Just seen it myself, very moving indeed.
I understand your point to some extent. But today was not about Tyson it was about Ricky. Today was not a Remembrance Service and a celebration of Ricky's life which hopefully will come later. As I see it that's when wearing the suit would have been appropriate and not a distractionAn therein lies our problem as human beings. Not Tyson, but all those insulting him.
Ricky had mental health issues which, allegedly, resulted in his untimely demise.
Tyson has mental heath issues, which on a number of occasions have almost resulted in his timely demise.
He's either worn the suit as last bit of banter with his old friend, or to make a statement that he has been saved and is still with us.
Whatever the reason, we all know Tyson has struggled over the years and has made some bad decisions, like Ricky did, we should try and understand and support, not add to their struggles.
We've already lost one legend way too early, let's not lose another.
Wouldn’t you be if you followed United?Didn't recognise Mani there at first on BBC feed. He looks distraught.
Doesn’t Fury have friends who can advise him on how to behave in any given situation? An therein lies our problem as human beings. Not Tyson, but all those insulting him, shame on you on today of all days.

There’s a back story to that suit that explains it. Do a bit of research.Doesn’t Fury have friends who can advise him on how to behave in any given situation?
The awards ceremony? Hmm. I still don't think it was the time or the place to wear it. But I'm not going to derail the thread by arguing the toss about it. Like the suit, it's not the time, nor the place. Sleep well Ricky. There’s a back story to that suit that explains it. Do a bit of research.
Think unfortunately it’s his body that’s distraught. He struggles to even walk these days due to emphysemaDidn't recognise Mani there at first on BBC feed. He looks distraught.

The back story is somewhat tenuous. He described it a shit suit. If he had wanted to give Ricky a laugh he would as a United supporter turned up in a specially made Manchester City suitThere’s a back story to that suit that explains it. Do a bit of research.
Poor fucker.Yeah I was gonna ask is he struggling with his health too. Looks like he's struggling to breathe. Poor fella lost his wife not long ago too.
Absolutely spot on.The biggest compliment I can pay Ricky Hatton and which may be his most abiding legacy is that he made us all feel like we were on the same team. Regardless of your team, your race, your sexuality or any other barrier which can divide people, Ricky Hatton made us all feel like we were in it in together. I don't think a single other Mancunian will ever come close to uniting the City in the way he did.
I expect the irony of you derailing a thread paying respect to a local hero by accusing one of the mourners of being an attention seeker is lost on you.The back story is somewhat tenuous. He described it a shit suit. If he had wanted to give Ricky a laugh he would as a United supporter turned up in a specially made Manchester City suit
No the concept of respect is clearly lost on you. As I have repeatedly posted the day was about Ricky and the comments re Fury have no bearing on the solemnity of the dayI expect the irony of you derailing a thread paying respect to a local hero by accusing one of the mourners of being an attention seeker is lost on you.
I think “repeatedly” seals the deal. Hoist by your own attention seeking petardNo the concept of respect is clearly lost on you. As I have repeatedly posted the day was about Ricky and the comments re Fury have no bearing on the solemnity of the day
And you seem to be going out of your way to make this thread about you. Give it a rest. None of us care about what suit Tyson Fury wore. It will be forgotten about tomorrow. No the concept of respect is clearly lost on you. As I have repeatedly posted the day was about Ricky and the comments re Fury have no bearing on the solemnity of the day
I met her in moon on the water before one of rickys fights..shes double hard.I'm just catching up with some of the tv footage after leaving home at 10:30 and standing outside the cathedral until the entourage left. A special mention to the interview Jane Couch did and which I've just seen. By her own admission a one time crazy lady, who was banned from every pub in Fleetwood, boxing turned her own life around.and she spoke beautifully about her friendship with Ricky and the backing he gave her and women's boxing.
A cold grey day with specks of rain in the air matched the mood. The sense of grief and loss was palpable and even some of the humour in the speeches, relayed over speakers for those of us standing outside, couldn't really lift it for long. Everybody knew just what Manchester, Britain and the world lost and said goodbye to today. Ricky, I hope you've now found the peace you couldn't seem to find in life. There will only ever be one Ricky Hatton.
