Right back options……

Probably not good enough to be 1st teamers but I think we should have held onto Kabore or Yan Couto, at least for this season.
They would have provided cover on the right. Letting both them and Callum Doyle all go on loan has left us a little short at the back.
Stones, Ake and Walker will struggle to play the amount of games that we need them to.

neither can play the role on the right we use imo. Rico/Walker have vastly different roles in the team/system to a WB.

A young, technically superior, Kyle Walker would be a dream signing :).

We need a new Rb, though, ASAP. We have been blessed in this position with the likes of Zabaleta or Walker, so these are some massive shoes to fill.

Very near to top priority as a position that needs sorting in the summer. A carbon copy of Gvardiol in the RB slot would be perfect. Not sure who fits the mould though.

Might be a long shot, and I'm thinking more about our current injuries etc and the immediate future rather than a transfer, but could Simpson-Pusey play there?

I'm guessing he plays in the centre more regularly, and for us it would be more of a traditional right-back role than we often employ, but has he played there in the youth teams at all?

He is definitely a centre half, his skill set is not really suited to right back.
Fair enough, maybe not long term then certainly.

I was kind of thinking of the games where Walker is used just to predominantly lock down a fast winger. Would he have the pace for that kind of job?

Never say never. Nobody expected Akanji to do so well there during the treble season.

Looked quick enough against Solanke last night.
