I don't see it that way. The lad wears "Vini Jr" on the back of his shirt. It's apparently the name he prefers.Yes I know I meant why call him Vini which is a kind of affectionate Steve macmanamanaman name for him? It’s a bit like saying Trent or Rio for me, doesn’t feel right at all
If we met and you said, "My name's Joseph. But please, call me Joe," I would call you "Joe" when we spoke. It would simply be calling you the name you prefer out of respect for your preference.
I don't see it being the same as saying "CR7" or "Fergie" (pfffftt).
