Right back options

the thing is, we clearly need both a RB and a CB, but the latter can wait until the summer. our right side of defense is very poor and unreliable, and we’re being forced rn to play with four CBs. a proper RB has to be the priority in january
We've two CB's competing for a left back position, a tiny youth player who clearly is better in the middle (and needs to bulk up still) and an aging RB who's become an actual liability. The squad building there has been so lazy that you almost forget how poor its been for the middle of the park! We are pretty cooked right now, having a guy on the books who at least has some experience at right back even though he's clearly not at the level for City, we really don't have a huge amount of options. January is gonna be tough to buy IMO, everyone knows we need bodies and middle of the season is always super expensive - seems a no brainer to get the kid back from Benfica if its possible. I'd personally also be looking to cut Callum Doyle's loan if its possible, although its probably not.

Aina and Robinson and we are sorted both really good players

Neither are better or even close too than in his prime Walker. Frimpong has potential but again he too needs a bit of work.

The centre halves we have are ideal for a team playing with 3 at the back and wing backs.
With us needing replacements for both full backs, I'd be keen to bring in players who can play at wing back.

I'd love to see it, but don't see Pep changing it up.

I agree with that and also allows for any of them to step into the midfield.

Big fan of Robinson, think he'd do well for us.
He's never impressed me, plus, as an American, I would caution against purchasing American players. Skill levels not there, which if true, may be because the development "system" here consists of colleges (18 to 21 year olds). Other than Pulisic, are there really any worthwhile USA players? Hopefully, Cavan Sullivan will be, but he should endeavor to get to NYCFC and then Euro-based CFG outposts as quickly as possible.
