Livramento being mentioned now. Wouldn't mind that tbh, always impresses me for Newcastle.

I can’t see Newcastle selling him. For me, why can we never spot players like this before they get really good. We should have seen him when he was at Southampton.

Same. I really like him.

Only question mark would be his injury record. Doesn't seem to stay fit for long periods and lord knows we don't need another sicknote.
Did his ACL at saints and then a few niggles at Newcastle, ankle injury according to the internet which can happen to any player.

Think that’s an ok record at Newcastle.

Viable affordable options

Vanderson
Arnau Martinez
Frimpong(although not really a rb)
Dumfries (class but age an issue)

Expensive but quality options
Molina
Geertrudia
Livramento
Pedro Porro

I'd go for Vanderson and double raid Monaco for him and Camara (give them say 100m)

Arnau Martinez I like as well, Spanish, could definitely play inverted RB, but he is at Girona and I believe we are banned from signing players from them?

I'm always on the look out for a bargain. As such, wouldn't mind taking a punt on the young Danish lad, Elias Jelert (21). He impressed me in the three games he played against us for FC Copenhagen, and he's another one of those versatile players who can play fullback on either side and go into midfield. Think he's currently at Galatasary, but he looks the kind of player that has a much higher ceiling.

I wouldn't mind Djed Spence from Spurs. His form has been good this year and he is playing out of position at left back. The trouble will be dealing with Levy.

Whoever we do sign, I just hope it's a specialist RB. No more signing CBs or midfielders who we can put in there and hope for the best. We've been doing this plug and play thing for many years now and sometimes it works, but I'd rather not count on a coin toss.

Only extended with Spurs last summer and will turn 25 in the summer, making him too old for Guardiola's gooselings. And, as you say, then there is the Levy levy; might as well try and cut a discount deal with Napoli for someone.

It really depends on what we're asking them to do. If they're going to spend 70% of their time in central midfield, is being a career right-back actually the best experience?

If we're going to play with a more traditional fullback role and want someone to get up and down the pitch and be hard to beat defensively, then yes absolutely let's get a specialist in

After the problems we've had trying to deal with him previously, and given the PL tax, I doubt we'll even contemplate it
Also we seem to be shopping outside the PL last window - so wonder if we've been put off a little by some of the deals that we've overpaid on

It looks like Walker and Grealish will definitely go. Possibly Stones & Ake. We will need non club trained homegrown players to fill out the squad.
