If we’re relying on our right back to be prolific a chance creator with the wealth of talent we have across the front line and midfield, we’re fucked. We need a proper defensive right back like Walker and Nunes/Lewis/Akanji won’t cut it.£80m and no goals and one assist, not even Newcastle first choice was he the start of the season? Either way he was overshadowed by Lewis Hall for me

Overrated. And fuck me if we’re going off opinions in forums just look at done of the fucking loons in hereWell you only have to read Newcastle fan forums to see they rate him as their best and a complete shut down full back. He can play both left and right.
He is a much much better defender than Lewis hall and ait Nouri is a better lb than Lewis hall imo

One solution to fit a foreign RB in our CL squad is for Gundo to step out and make way as PL only, probably as player/coach:
Ederson;
Manuel Akanji, Rúben Dias, Joško Gvardiol, Rayan Aït-Nouri;
Phil Foden, Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders;
Omar Marmoush, Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki:

Bernardo Silva, Oscar Bobb, Jérémy Doku.

I’m happy with Nunes. Second quickest outfield player this season, after Van De Ven, looks like he’s picking up on the attacking role and, if he can cut out the daft mistakes, I think he’ll be great next season. Left back, on the other hand…

Djed Spence. Crazy journey … his stats are better than Livra but he’s 25… I think he’s the only homegrown RB available after Livra.

right back market is dead, either way player is not good enough or is crazy expensive
if we are looking for cheap right back option who is homegrown then Aina or Walker-Peters are the best option
