Because he’s old, very defensive and Ait Nouri is way better suited for usBit late now but the right back recriyment issue we have is down to the HG rule so still don't know why we didn't get Robinson instead of Ait Nouri.
Him being homegrown would have meant we could bring in a non HG right back and open up a lot more options. Would also not have missed a few games for African cup of nations.

With Rodri, Reijnders and Gonzalez, not really and certainly not for the fee it would be. I wouldn’t be surprised if we only end up with 3 homegrown, plus Foden, Bobb O’Reilly, Lewis IF Grealish and Stones go, Stones might not go though.Would we not benefit from having Wharton almost regardless just because he is home grown ?

Can play both sides, quick, strong and big mates with half our captain group.

Doesn't help us then. If we are looking for rhe best young RB, Vanderson should be high on the list. But since we have limited space, i suppose a HG or internal solution has to be the way to go.

Wharton comes in for Kova eventually.Gundogan and Kovacic only make spaces for Reijnders and Cherki not for a right back. Savinho and Khusonov will be in the squad. Reis,and Echeverri might be they might not they also aren’t attached at the hip one might one might not.
