Right back options

The next RB MUST be physical aggressive and quick. I don't care if he can't hit a barn door!! The balance of the squad needs sorting.

We also need the same somewhere further up the pitch.

What? Was he any worse than the other 10 on the pitch that day? We going to judge Gvardiol on that performance too?

I'm sure you think you're making a point there but all you're doing is confirming you have an extremely biased and frankly outdated view.

Nunes was one of our best performers last season, we wouldn't have CL football without him. if you're looking to attribute blame for a drop in quality to somebody, you typically look to the weakest performers not somebody in the top 3.

Thats what you think we're lacking at fullback? I'm not sure i could come with with a less pressing need when considering fullback options.

besides, Nunes has chipped in with his fair share of goals and was our third highest assister last season. If you take goals and assists together, Nunes has a better g/a per minute ratio than Dumfries had last season and that's with dumfries having the advantage of playing wingback not fullback.

Why would we not have a CL spot without him? The revisionism regarding Nunes is astounding.

If we had a healthy Walker or someone that does not shit the bed on a counter we wouldn’t have been bantered by clubs all season. We are seriously suggesting a failed midfielder should be our starting RB?

To be fair to Nunes he has done his best and deserves praise for his effort. His level is starting for a poor / average City side. Very similar to Delph and Zinchenko. I want to see us win the CL again, to which he is an obstacle if he starts games.

Nunes is not a rb .
we cannot go into a new season with him has 1st choice .
He will get away with the odd mistake he is prone to against the lesser teams .
But when it comes to the likes of Liverpool ,Chelsea & Arsenal he will be found out & punished .
He needs to move on & be insulted that Pg thinks he is to thick to play in midfield lol!
We haven't had much good fortune when we have brought wolves players to our club( Steve Daley, Nunez) hopefully the leftback will be a better purchase .

In fact bringing back walker may not be a bad idea after all.
Home grown, still pacey and has a kind of sorted out his off field personal life. Zero money required for tranfer and willing to be a back up for nunes (if required),
Players and coach knows him, captain material, Premier league experienced. And we may not need to send him on loan paying half his salary.

This is the same thing I see in the savinho thread. Suggestions that someone is not good enough but when you talk about other players they are apparently not better ( Dumfries, Livramento) while others ain’t attainable or don’t even exist . ( can’t name other better players )
People need to make up their minds.

Walker shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the training facilities of the club ever again .
He was the captain but decided he wanted to quit the season ,the club & his team mates for pastures new .
Regardless if it was a private matter or frustration of performances or not enough game time ?
A captain has to set the standards & leadership for the rest of the team to follow .
He was a letdown in the end & jumped ship.

Sounds wonderful, doesn't he? That's what I thought when he was the last RB that we bought from Inter. If we did get Dumfries, I really hope that he would be a lot better than Douglas Maicon.

I don't think it's quite fair to compare 2 players just because they have played for the same club.

Though, I must admit, I don't think I'm sold on the idea of Dumfries entirely It isn't my choice, clearly, but I'd like to have a Gvardiol type just at the right back position. Not saying this player as the solution, but someone in the mold of Pavard. I'd imagine people will tell me that the player I'm looking for is Akanji.
