Right back options

Think this might get by us this window, you know. i don't think we can buy any more until the sales start coming in and a lot of those wont be easy.

The issue is that there are no top right-backs available this summer. Whereas, next year there will be. This summer the priority has been rebuilding the midfield and finally getting a natural left-back
 
The market for full-backs is extremely poor at the moment.

Aside from Hakimi and possibly Alexander-Arnold, there aren’t any top class right-backs in the game at the moment.

I wonder if we’ll move for Porro or Gusto if Livramento proves too difficult to sign.
 
We'd still come up against the no-home grown quota issue with Porro...I thought he'd squeak in, but he didn't have enough time with us under the age of 21

Maybe some non homegrown ones if we need another year to make room. Not that I can name any. Would prefer if we could make some room and get one this year though.

I don’t think a prime Walker-level right back exists or is gettable. Hakimi’s probably the only world class right back and there’s no chance of getting him.

Munoz.He has looked good going forward on the break. Colombian international but think he is about 30. I do think he is a very good player but would be a stop gap for a few seasons.
 
Always thought Djed Spence should be Walkers understudy before he went to Spurs. Been out on loan a couple of times. Home grown with plenty of pace and aggression

That's the problem. Vanderson is probably a good shout as he's got all the attributes Walker did. Speed, strength, aggression.
 
This is probably a terrible idea but James Justin until Rico is "ready" to take over completely? With Leicester being relegated, we could probably get him relatively cheap.

He can may right and left back, in the midfield and on the wing. Not terrible supporting the attack. He's only 27 and association trained, so would satisfy homegrown criteria.

He has had some injury issues but perhaps that was simply bad luck.
