That a fair point about Porro/ Savinho.If we’re basically swapping Savinho for Porro, then it really doesn’t impact what can be spent on the midfield. I reckon we could stretch to another midfielder, but you might find that Rodri, Kovacic, Anderson, Gonzalez, Reijnders, and Nunes/O’Reilly suffices. Perhaps wait another season and add more, Wharton(?), once the highlighted leave.
Rodri recovering his match fitness & not becoming another Kompany is key but he's not really a ball winner & more of a metronome conductor when we have the ball. Gonzalez, Reijnders & Kovacic are good ball players but non of them can dictate the game by putting in tackles & winning the ball consistantly when we are out of possession
