The only people to suffer as a result of these 'riots' will be the underpriveliged people in the communities where the riots are occuring. You clearly believe they deserve it based on that comment.
I don't consider Comet and PC World as underprivileged and in no way could be described as people (though the law has tried to convince us otherwise) so I'm still alright to nick that Mac Pro, yes?

I'll ask Jesus but I think he'll dig it. Oh yeah.

Yeah, we're good to go..

I predict this'll be close to me in south west London within a few days - I'm writing my shopping list now.

I'm amazed that people haven't seen this coming.
The pieces have been in place for months....and I have absolutely no doubt what started down there will spread up here.
There are a lot of scrotes involved in this, but there will also be a number of kids who actually believe in their heads that what they are doing is justified.
They see the Con Dem cuts aimed at the poorest, those that can least afford to lose, biting into already deprived communities..while literally round the corner the paper millionaires, tax dodgers and offshore account managers are still eating caviar, sending the little angel to Oxbridge to finish the doctorate in "great artists of Renaissance"and filling up the Porsche. On account,of course.
They see the police,I'll equipped and running scared, morale smashed by compulsory redundancies, stations being closed.A perfect storm for the opportunist.
At least Thatcher was smart enough to know that she needed the police on her side to complete the task of ideologically smashing the unions and heaping misery on Northern working class people at the expense of the Southern money shifters...so she simply employed more of them.
This bunch of frauds, charlatans and chinless wonders currently pretending to be in power don't even have the nous to work that one out,let alone predict what the results of their disastrous, ruinous policies could be.

I am as disgusted by some of the zealous cuts and policies that are being implemented and I'd be the first to be for some sort of statement (though not necessarily rioting). But you are attributing far too much intelligence and intellectual motivation to all of this. It is scrotes on the rob, nothing more, nothing less. They couldn't give a shit about government policy and are no doubt part of the "politics boring, all politicians the same, who's the Primeminister" demographic, not politically charged youth.

I think you're missing the point. You're right that they couldn't give a shit about goverment policy, but that's because like many people they have lost all faith in politicians. These are people who see for themselves that the rich people who caused the financial crisis are relatively unaffected by it, whereas the social state, the state that affects their day to day lives, is paying a high price. SureStart centres closing, benefit reviews getting harsher, disability payments vanishing, financial support for colllege students being axed, no jobs available for young people etc. Meanwhile, just around the corner from where they live, Mr Banker drives his new Bentlley and Mr MP has a posh flat and goes everywhere by taxi. Politically charged? What they are is reality charged.

So London, now Birmingham? Leeds next, well thats what the song goes like

'Panic on the streets of London
Panic on the streets of Birmingham
I wonder to myself
Could life ever be sane again ?
The Leeds side-streets that you slip down
I wonder to myself
Hopes may rise on the Grasmere
But Honey Pie, you're not safe here
So you run down
To the safety of the town
But there's Panic on the streets of Carlisle
Dublin, Dundee, Humberside
I wonder to myself'

Must admit it did make me laugh when I heard on radio this morning, that people were trying trainers on and saying no dont like these, and trying different pairs.

Not the right thing to do.....but did make me chuckle none the less

Regens Baby linen shop & Greggs on Rye Lane Peckham on fire.

Police have been too soft and the rest of the yobs around London and probably round the country will be gearing up to follow suit.
If Gregg's is on fire then no doubt it's because someone has 'looted' one of their pasties only to find it had no fucking filling!
Or their Chicken Balti pie had sultanas in it!

Seeing reports now that no shot was fired was the firearm supposedly recovered from Duggan although it was capable of firing one. The CO19 officer responsible for the shooting claimed he never sadi he'd been shot at bt believed his life might be in danger so fired 2 shots, one of which killed duggan and the other hit one of his fellow officers.

So it looks like yet another execution by the Met's finest.
