hate to see what would happen if there was a terrorist attack now, typical torries ripping the hell out of the police force.

I think you're missing the point. You're right that they couldn't give a shit about goverment policy, but that's because like many people they have lost all faith in politicians. These are people who see for themselves that the rich people who caused the financial crisis are relatively unaffected by it, whereas the social state, the state that affects their day to day lives, is paying a high price. SureStart centres closing, benefit reviews getting harsher, disability payments vanishing, financial support for colllege students being axed, no jobs available for young people etc. Meanwhile, just around the corner from where they live, Mr Banker drives his new Bentlley and Mr MP has a posh flat and goes everywhere by taxi. Politically charged? What they are is reality charged.

I'd be the first to agree with the problems caused by a lot of the things mentioned. I also might be found at a protest that turned violent about such matters.

However, if you are viewing any of this and think it is remotely the same thing, then I suggest you look again.

You are attributing far more meaningful motivation to it. Don't try to intellectualise something that is as far removed from having an intellectual basis as possible. Even saying it is motivated by "the banker has a big car" is giving it far too much credibility. It has fuck all to do with that. It is scrotes trying it on. In fact, it is an insult to the working class to try to link this with any social justice agenda.

JMA.....I think you're seriously underestimating a lot of these kids.
There are many who understand the cuts, albeit at a basic level...but they do understand that in many cases it means that any way out they had is going to become even more difficult....EMA abolished, youth services scrapped, huge numbers of unemployed, stupid fees for college/uni.No hope breeds despair, and despair breeds trouble.
It's also about negative images and the people who are fuelling this resentment...many of the well known faces in the communities have gone in the cuts....the "buffer zones..the people the "street" kids trust.
I'm not condoning any of this ridiculous behaviour, but sadly,it was entirely predictable.
Maybe, just maybe....the government will look at the "big society" for the utter bollocks it is,and have a major rethink about funding and the strategy for the future.
The criminals and thugs should be brought to justice, but there are contributing factors for what has happened. There is no point anyone burying their heads in the sand...otherwise,as I've said for some thine,we will all be in for a long, hot summer.

Jesus, you are trying to excuse mass theft and criminal damage by blaming this on cuts. This has absolutely fuck all to do with cuts .

Send in the troops.

anything down in moss side yet chaps, seen a cupple of hoodies outside my tesco express, not sure if there planing somthing or having a fag

The solution is not more funding, the last Labour government nearly (or did) bankrupt the country by spending money we did not have, on useless social programmes and initiatives.

As they said in a US election commercial "It's the Economy Stupid"

Sorry to appear to be a bit of a smartarse, but AH64 Apaches are fiited with a single barrel 30mm chain gun and not a multi barrel mini-gun.

Waddington!

Plane spotters paradise, my sister used to work there, I went to the air show once and enjoyed being made deaf by the Euro Fighter.....

Following the smiths to the letter. London, now Birmingham and Leeds. Carlisle, Dublin, Dundee and Humberside must be shitting it.

In all seriousness though, this is fucking disgraceful. It's not an attack on the government or the police, it's an attack on the ordinary, law abiding people who are having their homes, cars, businesses, livelihoods torched. They've got no cause other than to cause trouble and get a new plasma screen for fuck all. Utter low life scum.
