Rumored meet at 9PM at Piccadilly. Key word is 'rumored'. No doubt it'll have kicked off this time tomorrow though.

JMA.....I think you're seriously underestimating a lot of these kids.
There are many who understand the cuts, albeit at a basic level...but they do understand that in many cases it means that any way out they had is going to become even more difficult....EMA abolished, youth services scrapped, huge numbers of unemployed, stupid fees for college/uni.No hope breeds despair, and despair breeds trouble.
It's also about negative images and the people who are fuelling this resentment...many of the well known faces in the communities have gone in the cuts....the "buffer zones..the people the "street" kids trust.
I'm not condoning any of this ridiculous behaviour, but sadly,it was entirely predictable.
Maybe, just maybe....the government will look at the "big society" for the utter bollocks it is,and have a major rethink about funding and the strategy for the future.
The criminals and thugs should be brought to justice, but there are contributing factors for what has happened. There is no point anyone burying their heads in the sand...otherwise,as I've said for some thine,we will all be in for a long, hot summer.

Jesus, you are trying to excuse mass theft and criminal damage by blaming this on cuts. This has absolutely fuck all to do with cuts .

Send in the troops.

It has a lot to do with cuts. There are undoubtedly core opportunists at work here who will try and justify and combine their criminal activity with unrest amongst young people about their total abandonment by this government. There is fetile territory out there for the agitators.
Send in the troops indeed...if we had any spare...

It will come to that,sadly.

100% correct sir

It's all very,very sad.
Worker against worker, people having their houses and livelihoods wrecked.
Let's just hope people come to their senses soon.

One thing I do know...when the state is threatened,it strikes back.Hard.

And so it should.

As I have previously posted my liberal sensitivities go out of the window when civil disobedience comes into the equation. And this has gone beyond mere disobedience.

Goverments have an obligation to uphold the rule of law and protect law abiding citizens, especially the poor fuckers who live in and around the rioting.

It is only the poor who will suffer as a result of this. Plus ca change.

Fuck Piccadilly. I`m outside the swamp mega store with a can of petrol and some matches. I will loot the jigsaw section and then get torching.
