RIP Alan Rickman

Unbelievable actor.

Great in Sweeney Todd, Dogma, Die Hard etc. . .

Wonder what his username was? Maybe @tolmie's hairdoo can shed some light and pass on our condolences to his connections?

RIP Alan Rickman. A very, very sad day!

A very very talented guy and a great loss! RIP

His interpretation of the Sherrif of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves was superb, adding a wonderful comedic element to a dastardly character.

PMSL! Only a guy with Maurizio accent could pull that one off!

Although Sharleen could do it, anytime!!

What a sound bloke, I think his actual sign-on is Dyed Petya or John Maddocks Axe...but that's just a wild guess based on their ability to articulate 'thesp like'?

If you're on, Hans, am I close?

I used to be Dyed Petya before a rebrand but it's definitely not me. Had never seen the post I've quoted before - I'm flattered. RIP to the fabulously talented Alan, anyway.

As he was born and bred in Acton, London, I would be interest to learn if anyone knows the storey of how he became a blue?

Story below from Tolmie on page 2 of this thread (posted back in 2010):

Probably one of the most surreal moments of my life last few days.

We were politely introduced, the larger group expanded to a conversation about football.

He pipes up about City and how he adopted them about five years back because one of his executive cameras grips was a major blue from Manchester.

I told him how long I had waited to see us win a trophy and he showed real interest.

Told him about the site and pipes again, 'I've actually been a member for two years' and how it relieves his boredom in hotels.

He puts me in an awkward spot when he asked which user I was, but felt compelled...he raised his wine glass and winked.

I asked him to respond in kind, to which he replies , 'An actor always needs a place of solace' or some bollocks like that.

Let's get Hans down to stadium, has never visited.
