RIP Eddie Large

Eddie, Eddie give us a wave!

Very sad. Such a heart-warming character. Spotted him a few times as a kid at Maine Road. It took me years to understand the above chant!!!

On his heart problem: 'He said, "What stresses you out?", I said, "football", he said, "What team do you support?", I said, "Manchester City". He said, "That's it."'

"I don't blame it on City, but he did."

Rest in peace big man - and condolences to your family.

RIP Eddie a big blue and always proud of it. Think he showed his class by being polite and a true gent during one of those 'gotcha' type wind-ups being goaded with rag comments. A genuinely talented and funny guy and never got the critical acclaim he was worthy of for various reasons.

Bugger used to love watching them on TV, Sid used to live opposite my aunts in Atherton years ago. RIP Eddie.

RIP Eddie. A top blue and a nice guy. Saw him in the Player’s Lounge at Maine Road a couple of times.

Ps we forgive you for the Bournemouth halftime team talk and giving @Indaparkside his joke book.

RIP funny man and true Blue, at least you got to see us back where we belong at the top. I often saw him getting off the City coach at away games back in the day.

R.i.p Big Fella.

RIP Blue.

Vaguely remember seeing him at Maine Rd in the 80’s as a kid. Then he’d be on telly in the evening.
