Ian St John, Ian Callaghan, Tommy Smith, Emlyn Hughes. No problem in paying homage to that Liverpool team.

I can remember watching quite a few of the 70s-80s 'Pool team and being impressed. Never switched allegiances like my older Bro, cos they 'won things'.

Fook that! Good teams, though.

RIP.

I'm too young to have seen him as a player but used to watch him on TV as a youth. Saint & Greavsie was at the time different to any other UK programmes on football.

One of my most vivid memories of him was when he was in tears after the Italia 90 game, when Scotland got beat off Costa Rica.

"I just cannae belive it" or words to that effect.
