My enduring image of Mike was holding up the banner Doyle eats Magpies - pre 76 LC Final - anyone else remember this? Also to see him lift the cup at Wembley on that unforgettable day. Thanks for the memories Mr.Doyle. A true City great and legend, city til we die couldnt be more apt..........:-(

People bandy round words like legend and hero to players who have shown a fraction of the commitment and passion Mike Doyle did for our club, a true colossus who would run through brick walls in a blue shirt. So glad he got to see us lift another trophy before he went, we went out and won the FA cup doing it for Nelly now let's bring the Charity Shield home for Mike, I'm sure Mancini would have no problem finding some Doyle quotes to fire the players up against the neighbours and if he can use it to give them his passion then we are in for a hell of a show.
