RIP MIKE DOYLE

A proper red hater

remember him and lou Macari getting into bother with each other more than once

remember our kid coming home all chuffed on his last day at primary school ,Bible in hand that Mike Doyle had presented him and all the other leavers with.

RIP

Very sad day. We've lost another true legend, He was a big part of my youth when he lead a great team with pride and passion, and showed just what it meant to wear the sky blue shirt. He never shirked. Great times. It says it all - one defeat in 16 against the scum - how he hated em . Our most celebrated player. What a man . RIP Mike , true legend.

RIP Mike, a true blue legend, and part of the first City team I can remember as a child.

This is what a Blue looks like.

RIP Mike. Like everyone has said a 'true blue', not many players live and breathe the same passion Doyle had for City.

My fondest memory of Mike Doyle was when he scored at Maine Rd in a rare win against Liverpool in the 70s, but I couldn't find it on YouTube, so i might be wrong - but I can see it in my mind, so here's one of him scoring against his sworn enemy.
