Lucky Charms

Loved these as a kid but only place you can get them now is from selfridges at £8 a box.....BASTARDS

£8!?

*nods*

£8 for a box of cereal, daylight bleedin robbery

There are some trendy bars here who think it's funny to sell small magners and carlsbergs for 7 euros. Greedy f*****g Wankers!! Please, boycott paphos and make the twats learn. Tourism is already 30 % down here due to the recession, and I'm watching thess bastards squirm!!

3 or 4 eros for a coffee?? WTF. As some of the locals here, don't hardly get any custom, you'd think they'd bring their prices down to get turnover? Wrong, they put them up and blatantly Rip off the poor few who go in there. Disgusting. Tourists are their bread and butter, and they're treating them like shit!

One place a guy posted on a paphos food review sight, he got low standard of food and when the bloke came over aking nicely "is everything ok with your meal?' the bloke said 'no. everything is not ok' The man didn't even ask what was wrong, he just turned and walked away.

quote:

we've got family over & decided to go to the beach for the day, went to the municipal beach by the alexander the great hotel, went to get 2 pints of beer, when i asked the lady for 2 pints, she poured two beers & i asked if they were pints, to which she replied, yes, so i gave her the 6.60 euro, after drinking them i looked on the side of the plastic glass & noticed
0.4 L on the side, now if i'm correct, 1 ltr = 1.57 pints, therefore, @ 0.4
is just under 1/2 pint, so that works out @ approx, 7 euros a pint, when i questioned the lady she said that's the prices we charge tourists if you don't like it go somewhere else, so with that, i told her i will go somewhere else, i'm going straight to the C.T.O.
& THEY WONDER WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT COMING TO CYPRUS

and

This morning I had a coffee and 2 toast at a cafe in Coral Bay--euros 5.30
Could have had a full English breakfast which includes a coffee and 2 toast for euros 5.70 ;only 40 cents more.

Hard to believe. I thought I had been overcharged by mistake, but on talking to the owner, apparently I had not.

Will not be going back, even for the full breakfast.

or

We have just been ripped of big style.

Place: White river cafe.
Location: On the unmade road at Sunday Beach.

A can of Leon (advertised on menu as "Large Beer") €3
A can of Keo (advertised on menu as "Large Beer") €3
A small sprite €3
A small (carton) orange juice (price on menu €2) €3
The most pathetic revolting toasted cheese & ham sandwich (pappy white sliced bread, "plastic ham, processed cheese with half a dozen salt and vinegar crisps, one slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber) €5

Total €17

When I complained I was told "You residents always complain!!!!"

I suggested there might be a good reason for this Very Happy

DO NOT GIVE THE IGNORANT GIT YOUR BUSINESS HE DOESN'T DESERVE IT.

if you do want to come here, there are some great places, just avoid the tourist areas. Always check the prices.
