RIP Tony Book

An integral part of the team that I grew to love as a six year old. The image of Tony lifting the FACup in 1969 is indelibly stamped in my mind.
RIP Tony Book.

Great man, gave me two of the greatest days of my life, Wembley 1970 as skipper, Wembley 1976 as manager. RIP skip one of City's greatest ever servants.

Mr Manchester City. You will be greatly missed Skip. Hope there is a big send off planned next home game. We've lost some legendary blues lately first Tommy now Tony so sad but glad they saw us reach the promised land.

Really sad news - I was lucky enough to see him play for City at Maine Road in the 72/73 and 73/74 seasons and through the Supporters Club I was fortunate to meet him many times over the last few years, always a gentlemen, always had time to chat to fans, he will be a real miss. I hope City do something special for him next home game!
