They may also have a relatively small pool to choose from.

Sunak just been nailed.

'He sees being PM as self sacrifice. For himself and his career. When he's asked a question he doesn't like he acts like, "How dare you question what I'm doing to help the little people." He really thinks he's doing a good job that he didn't need to do.'

The AI market is potentially massive for the UK. Forecast to be worth c£80b by 2035.
The gvmt has committed large sums to aid it’s dvmt.

Problem for Sunak is that a long term story of slow and (hopefully controlled) growth in AI won’t help save him next year.

Only thing to do is tell porkies and hope nobody notices.
