Listening to PMQ's and Sunak is just phoning it in - there is barely any fire in the belly in his responses - he knows he just hast to outlast Truss to avoid record books

To be fair, he had to.

On the face of it, it looks a bad decision, but it was clever politics. Bringing Braverman back got him the support of the ERG and avoided a vote being put to the tory membership: Sunak vs. Boris (which Boris would have won on race grounds, sadly).

He will probably do a re-shuffle in six months and she will be gone having not achieved anything meaningful especially on migration, because you can't due to the international laws and treaties we have signed up to.

I agree about Williamson though, that was stupid. Probably the worst education secretary we have ever had and that is saying something considering Michael Gove also did the job!

It’s not clever politics if it brings down his government within a matter of weeks or months.

Could very well be a pyrrhic victory.
