Abolish stamp duty for first time buyers… people can’t save a big enough deposit to buy a first home now at the current prices.

It’s a known that if you abolish SD then it just drives up prices to the same affect, meaning that it’s basically transferred to the buyer to pay the seller.

Heard a report earlier in the week with all those looking to be preferring Labours option of underwriting deposits.
