In fairness to the clown, the sheer size and complexity of the NHS means all plans have to be ultra-long term to have any chance of succeeding.
And a 15 year plan means he can spend his last 15 months talking rather than doing.
 
“Political football“ we have heard all the NHS promises before remember the red bus,? the electorate won’t buy the rhetoric I hope.
NHS the new buzz word for a privatised institution, with “stop the boat’s“ they are just electioneering already
Three strands to it modernised train retrain and reform, sounds more like desk jobs and committee meetings to me.

Didn’t Johnson promise us 50,000 new nurses a few years back ? Obvs didn’t happen so now Rishi promises us even more - do they think we are stupid it’s just one lie/false promise after another.
What a bunch this lot are - do they not have any self respect.
 
Just a point on this front page but imagine if Sunak ( and his predecessors ) could have concentrated on trade deals rather than refugee deals maybe they could have made a better fist of things. Ideology was always their problem.

The tories promised us, as you say, thousands of new medical staff in their last manifesto, but tories being tories, nothing that comes out of their mouths or written on paper can be trusted, They instructed all the medical schools not to increase the number of students being taken on, so it was never going to happen.

I have no idea where the promised 40 new hospitals are going to be built either, and neither do they, because it was all bullshit. Everything the tories promise is bullshit, and I mean absolutely everything.

My dad used to tell me how they used to pull teeth in the old days.

To be fair ours is ok - interestingly early in the year I got a letter from My Dentist saying they were going all private and sending me a list of rates and costs per month. I had to register by X time.
To be honest I was busy and not well so I ignored it then I got a text saying I was due a checkup. I rang them up to discuss and they said we could arrange the appt and said I hadn't returned the form. I said yeah I know and was told "We have taken on a new NHS dentist - do you want to see him?"
I said yes and so far I have had a checkup with Dom - two fillings renewed and a mould taken to replace an old crown. Back there in a fortnight all at NHS rates.
When I asked how come they kept the NHS option up I was told the private takeup has been so poor My Dentist shat themselves and worried they were going to have to close a practise with all the attendant costs and bad publicity
