If they get a proper dicking in next year's local elections, the various factions within the conservative party will pull the trigger. I'm hopeful this continuation of Johnson/truss zombie government will topple before that.

In Labour's view, the longer this lot are "in charge" the more likely Labour are to reap the rewards of any economic upturn.

I still think they're all briefcase wankers though!

They’ll have to lose an awful lot of seats but looking at it now they could lose an lot! When is the local elections next year?
 
Normally May or June I think. Mind you if inflation heads north of 15% next year, they're fucked. Sadly so are we.

Just saw Sunak get out of the rear of a 4x4 to be greeted by Zelensky - he jumped down like a 12 year old - I am not 6ft 2in but ffs in his position I'd have practised how to make a good image of getting out of the back of a car - debutantes were taught how to get out of a car without flashing their drawers for years FFS

They are May next year - rumour is that if they suffer a collapse then moves are afoot to try and get Johnson back in as he is an election winner - that all depends on whether he survives the lying to the house allegations, the investigations into the Covid response and whether they can get him to accept that running the country to a GE shit show for them is worth more than earning the equivalent of a PM's annual salary a night to give talks to Republicans in the States....... such a loss would also impact his earnings capability on the speaking circuit- they are completely our of ideas.

I've a feeling that events are going over ride all that. Very soon bills are going to land that many thousands cannot pay, we've not been in a place like this in a very long time. We've periodically had it bad post war, but not like this, I don't think normal politics operates in those circumstances.
