Rival Fans Commentating on City Games

Do you think Chelsea and Arsenal fans love the fact that Carragher, Neville and Richards are on every broadcast?

Just get over it, it’s not a grand conspiracy, they can’t have 20 different commentators to keep every teams fans happy, we get plenty of representation from Micah and Nedum across the BBC and Sky and TNT/BT.

If your reaction to watching that game is that we’ve been hard done by because Carragher commentated on it, you don’t actually like football, just obsessing over the soap opera around it.
A bit harsh and somewhat condescending that, if I may add my own two cents. It doesn't have to be a conspiracy to be shit commentary littered with bias and backhanded complements. I try my best to ignore it as well but that doesn't mean it's not happening. Nedum is simply too much of a gentleman and Micah acts like someone who believes he's lucky to be there. The fact that it doesn't appear to bother you is one thing, The fact that we get nowhere, and I mean NOWHERE near the plaudits and respect that we deserve from well over 90% of the media in the UK is another. If you think for one minute the coverage we receive in England doesn't cast a negative shadow over the club everywhere outside of the UK then you are grossly mistaken. You may not give a shit about that but if the club is to reach a level of long term of sustainable success its global image is very important. And these people take every opportunity to try and damage that image while engaged in supposedly covering the sport. Speaking for myself, I don't need to get over anything. I know full well what we're up against yet I still enjoy and celebrate the fuck out of all our successes...the two are not mutually exclusive,,,CADED...

You do the same every time, take whats been said and turn it into something you can be outraged at.

"Chelsea and Arse fans" - I said exactly that in the OP, so whats your point besides repeating what I had said and being outraged at it.

"Get over it" - Why? Its our club. I dont want opposition fans commentating on my club, what's so outrageous about that? You might not be arsed, ok.

"They cant have twenty different commentators" What the actual fuck has that got to do with anything. I am asking why is it Utd or lfc all the time, you've managed to turn that into something again that outrages you. They just need to have different teams represented.

"But Micah and Nedum".. Seriously? You suggest they get as much airtime as utd and lfc pundits? On City games? I must have missed that.

"If I dont like opposition fans commentating on my teams football I dont actually like watching football"......... I cant even be arsed with that childish shite.

You may be ok with it, you might even suggest why I should be ok with it, but why get insulting? I dont get that with you. Cmon have a point.

Ok well If you’re not happy, don’t subscribe.

It’s not that hard. No one is forcing you to sit through the commentary.

Impressionable minor gobbed on, smacks of safeguarding and public shame. Baffled how JC got away with it.
Sky had painted itself into a corner a few months before the spitting incident by opting not to terminate Kirsty Gallacher’s contract following a drink driving conviction. Once it had gone down that route, firing Carragher would have stank of double standards - what he did was disgusting but nobody was potentially going to be killed by his actions. Suspending him for the remainder of that season was as far as the sanctions could realistically go.

There are far too many pundits covering both Male and Female soccer.

We need a cull.
Yep. One presenter, one pundit, one commentator. Can't remember the last time I chose to watch build-up or post-match analysis of any game. And when it's halftime I usually make a brew and use the loo just to make sure I only have to witness half of what they're yammering on about.

We do not need neutral pundits , we need pundits who can seperate their bias when they make comments , Spit is too stupid to look at any football match involivng our club logically because gnawing away at the back of his tiny brain is the success and superiority of our club , like most Dippers they are consumed by everything MCFC , they go to sleep and wake up with us in their heads. They can deny it all they want on their weirdo forums , and their thousands of posts of why we do not matter.
But we have dominated domestic football for over a decade and at least whilst Pep is here , it is going to continue at levels never previously seen , even when Pep departs there will be a plan in place , but he is going to be a hard act to follow , and we will not disappear overnight when Pep leaves the solid foundations are now built at our club , the futures bright and its BLUE.

For me, the best UK co-commentator is Ally McCoist, he just really appreciates good football, you can almost hear him purring when we are on top form, in fact when any team are on top form.

No underhand little digs like Spitboy anwhere to be seen

Now if we could just clone him, job's a good un

My main issue with Carragher is that, like Stuart Pearce, he seems incapable of reading a match properly. He makes inane and stupid comments and seems to have no awareness of football tactics. It is suprising how many excellent footballers are so poor at giving an overview of the game they played. (Carragher was a great player in my view). Perhaps they don't see the bigger picture because they suffer tunnel vision based on the position they used to play in. To be fair to Neville he is much more tactically astute than Carragher though he was a disastrous flop as a Manager.
