More important player than Raz and Jesus but also older. Probably the one I’d want to keep of the three still.
Think the other two wanted to leave for more game time (which is understandable) and Mahrez is happy at City. An extra couple of years for a super talented player who wants to be here, is very rarely injured and now has a level of output that is needed from a player in that wide position is good enough for me.Mahrez has been excellent the past two seasons but it's a little strange to see us offering a 31 y/o a massive new contract while selling two attackers who are both in their mid-20s. Feels like a massive change of policy from the board.
Mahrez wanted to stay, unlike the other two. Simple as thatOr the manager said he wanted to keep Mahrez.
He's the best guy for Palmer to learn from which is a big plus. All the players love him. Hardly injured and one of our best performers in the CL.If I was given a choice out of which of Jesus, Sterling and Mahrez to keep, I’d have said Mahrez, he’s quality. Best first touch I’ve ever seen, including Messi. Looks naturally fit too, so can see him continuing at the same level for a few years yet.
That makes him especially easy to sell...Sorry folks but this is crazy if true. I’ve said before that his age, lack of pace, lack of defensive pressure and inability to play anywhere other than right side of a front 3 makes him a luxury signing and not one we need to keep. Don’t see any other teams looking to buy him.
